The Metzeler Custom Bike Contest is the one and only competition bearing the likes of the Custom Bike Association happening during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.  Did we mention that it’s taking place at the Legendary Buffalo Chip and you’re invited?

 In its 7th year, the Metzeler team welcomed the best-of-the-best and awarded the Grand Prize to Todd Silicato of Todd’s Cycles, Huntington Beach CA.  The 2009 show is looking for the handcrafted bike that could be the next big bike build. Metzeler and contributing sponsors are in search for the preeminent custom build and encourage “all pros and all joes” to ante up their best build. 

Get noticed by the who’s who of bike building as they serve as the judging panel and are set to hand out the prizes for Best In Class and Best of Show.  The classes for 2009 are Upgrade Stage 1-3 classes for amateurs, Unlimited Chopper, Unlimited Custom and Old-School Bobber as well as the newest addition for 2009 is the Production Class.

Tuesday August 4th is the day the best Sturgis custom bike will be crowned at the Softail and Exhibition complex on the eastern side of the venue.  Registration starts at 9am with the doors opening at 11.  Judging will take place throughout the day and the awards presentation will start at 5pm.   All entries should be Metzeler equipped.  This bike show is FREE to the public and insists that everyone vote for the highly coveted People’s Choice Award for the Metzeler Sturgis Custom Bike Show.
