Meet Miss Buffalo Chip 2009
Meet Miss Buffalo Chip 2009 - A hard-working mid western woman with more than winning beauty pageants on her mind. As a three year veteran of the Chip and former Miss Montana USA, she quickly became a fan favorite and the judge’s top contestant.
Misti
was chosen from models, contestants and bikini beauties on August 8, 2009 as the new Miss Buffalo Chip. We caught up with her to get the inside scoop and aside from learning that she enlisted in the US ARMY when she was 17 we learned this:
Favorite Part of the Buffalo Chip:
“I really like catching up with some of my favorite campers that come back every year. Everyone always has friends to introduce and stories from the past year. It’s so fun and everyone, well except when the hail hit, was smiling all the time!”
Favorite Bar at the Buffalo Chip:
“I hangout at Bikini Beach during the day, making a new Margarita Flavor and watching people do backflips off the rope swing.”
Favorite Part about Being a Miss Buffalo Chip Contestant:
“I didn’t think I’d ever win, but now that I have it puts another ounce of confidence in myself. Not to mention being on stage with some of the Best musicians to ever play!”
Not Just Another TShirt Line
The leaders in motorcycle clothing, Hot Leathers, has once again partnered with 30 years of Buffalo Chip experience to produce the fresh new designs of the Official Buffalo Chip apparel line. The response was overwhelming as campers and rally goers across the nation got their hands on tee’s, sweatshirts, jackets, mugs and more–
The plans and sketches started before the last camper left in August and soon we will be rolling out the designs for 2010. Lucky for Santa, it’s just in time for Christmas! The gift shop will include the perfect lady’s tee, vintage rhetoric and of course a Chip must-have, the official design of 2010.
The low prices and great designs will be coming to your inbox! Watch for a special invite and a sneak peek from Buffalo Chip Merchandise!
County Commission Moves Forward
Meade County Commissioners have moved forward with plans to support a road that would extend 131st Ave to Interstate 90 and provide direct access to the east side of Sturgis with the interstate. Currently, the main roads, Hwy 34, Lazelle Street and Junction Avenue take riders through Sturgis and heavy traffic. They have reached their capacities numerous times during the rally week which holding up riders and emergency vehicles for hours at a time.
The Legendary Buffalo Chip has researched this connection as a convenience for rally attendees and will continue to support the Meade County Commissioners decision. We will work hard to provide Sturgis Rider subscribers and Facebook Fans with the most up to date information that we have.
If Sturgis Rally traffic is a concern of yours we would love to hear from you. Current updates and discussion is happening now on our Facebook Fan page or for more coverage, check the Rapid City Journal or the Black Hills Pioneer online.
