Every year the Sturgis Buffalo Chip® gets countless inquiries from talented bands that dream of getting a shot on one of the stages during the Chip’s annual August music festival. Well, if you’re one of these bands, pay attention to what we’re about to say. If you’re not in a band, but know a deserving artist, send this on!

Starting March 31, when bands submit online to be considered for a showcase band slot, their fans will also be able to help them land a full-length opening set on the legendary Wolfman Jack main stage. In addition to opening for some of the biggest names in music, this band will take home $10,000 in cold hard cash and some sweet prizes! Want to know more? Why wouldn’t you?

The Buffalo Chip’s new online band submission platform, the Big Sturgis Gig, will allow your band to showcase itself among the community of interested bands at www.BigSturgisGig.com. Your submission is a chance to win the grand prize, and it is the only way to be considered for performances on the Chip’s showcase stages. So if you’d like to be seen, heard, and play (or know someone who would), then you’d better get after it!

• Fill out the entry form and upload your band’s mp3s, video, photos and bio information to create your online band profile.
• Share your profile with fans on your social networks to earn valuable points.
• Encourage your fans to check out your profile, vote for your band or share with friends, because you’ll also earn points when fans interact with your page.

After June 30, the Buffalo Chip and a panel of celebrity musicians and music execs will review the 10 top-scoring band submissions. This panel will select one talented band from the bunch to come to the Buffalo Chip and perform a full-length set on the main stage and leave with $10,000 and some awesome prizes!
