Buffalo Chip fan favorites, Pop Evil, released an emotionally charged video that has been taking the world by storm; just days after the Chip announced the band would be joining this year’s lineup of Sturgis concerts. While the video provides a poignant backdrop for their most recent single, “Torn to Pieces,” it was also created to help fans going through difficult times, and we think it’s worth a watch!

The song and video chronicle the inner turmoil of Pop Evil frontman, Leigh Kakaty, after suffering the loss of his father. “Digging up the past can be very difficult,” says Kakaty. “Losing someone close to you has a healing process, and I choose to do it through this video.”

In anticipation of the video’s release, fans began pouring out support though an Instagram campaign set up by the band. Pop Evil encouraged fans to upload their own photos depicting what the song meant to them with the hashtag #petorntopieces, and the collection has far surpassed the band’s expectations. More photos post every day, and you can check the collection for yourself at www.popevil.com. Kakaty continues, “It makes me happy that this song is helping people like we hoped it would.”

Don’t miss out on your chance to see the wickedly talented Pop Evil bring passionate live renditions of songs like “Torn to Pieces,” “Trenches” and “Divide” to the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™ on Thursday, Aug. 7. Reserve your passes for the Buffalo Chip’s August music festival now!
